Long Hau Digital District Master Plan at 1/2000
Modern Gateway to Ho Chi Minh City
Located at the southern border of HCMC in Can Giouc District, which is the port and industrial area of the greater HCMC, and also situated in an advantageous position in the Mekong Delta Region and Southern Key Economic Zone (SKEZ) of Vietnam. The 225 Ha Long Hau master plan exploited its locational advantage as the gateway area and the scenic river frontage to position the development as Digital District serving the surrounding industries in their transformation into a high-tech establishment in the near future.
As such, the site is positioned as a premium development and digital-creative hub in the district, to develop its urban core as the premium business and lifestyle hub, focusing on technology to serve the surrounding industries and to differentiate its product from Can Giuoc Town Centre.
The fact that the site is surrounded by rivers on three sides with some tributaries, creates an opportunity for an attractive waterfront destination with premium waterfront housing.

Activating the riverside development with a balance of digital technology, lifestyle entertainment and local culture that anchoring the Long Hau Digital District master plan.
The key master planning goals outlined for the project include creating active and attractive waterways and riverside park connectors; creating a premium riverside development for creative businesses and becoming a lifestyle hub; and creating a quality park-like and waterfront housing environment.
Its urban core, The Digital & Riverine Lifestyle Hub refers to the active waterfront promenade with small islands for festivals and light shows and a contemporary water village as the waterfront icon at the boutique hotel, thus making it ideal for conventions and as an entertainment destination for the development.
The team translated two local lifestyle icons into the concept of the waterfront precinct. The form of a vibrant and dynamic floating market is used to shape the waterfront urban design with contemporary and dynamic forms for cultural, retail and entertainment. The unique floating village character is interpreted into a floating boutique hotel and conference centre to be a focal point of the Urban Core and the Waterfront Precinct.
